WALKING THE DOG 2019

Scroll

This painting was a response to a view I see on a familiar walk I do along the coastal path south of McCauley’s beach. The day was overcast and the creek had burst through into the beckoning sea. Once again, I have represented the scale and beauty of the land and sea by including the dog walkers in the panorama. This is a popular dog exercising beach.

The themes of isolation, loneliness and man’s relationship within the natural world are themes I often embrace.
